Had another great day on the ohio, albeit this one had a little less action than the less one. No capsized boats, or drowning dogs. The weather was great and the water was warm as could be. We had to make a pretty short day out of it however as we had a Tool concert that started at 8:00 PM the same night. As always, here are the pics.
No better way to start out the day. We at least waited until noon to crack open the first one...
I swear there's a good story behind this pic.
The girls get out on the tube.
Now it's the boy's turn
A new captain!
Now a different captain!
The girls pose for a picture. MY beautiful gf is the one on the left.
This is the best "sexy" pose i can do. Sad isn't it?
And last but not least, here are the grandparents out doing the YMCA. This is the first time I've seen them out on the tube.

Makinac Island
Well, finally got out and about for a proper weeklong vacation for the first time in over a year. This time I got to enjoy my time with my wonderful girlfriend! :-) We decided to head up to Michigan (which is where she grew up) and visit with her family for a while and then head up to Mackinac Island and visit some of the attractions up there. I've never really been that far north so all of the Flora and Fauna were pretty new to me. I even got to see a bug I have never seen before, which is pretty rare. In any case on with the pics, which is what everyone is always interested in.
Here is me and my girlfriend on the best form of transportation available on the island. It was strange being somewhere the entire day and not seeing a car.
One of a few action shots I snapped while she wasn't looking. Doesn't she look cute?
And of course, I'm addicted to scenery shots. Here are a couple:
We also stopped by the butterfly house. I got a few good shots, this being one of my favorites of them.
We finally got to the beach, although the weather did not want to cooperate. It was pretty cold and windy out. I cannot take credit for this shot however, as my lovely girlfriend was the one who suggested it.
I also got to take my girlfriend to do something she has always wanted to do, but never had the chance.
And no trip is complete without a complete breakdown of basic gravitational laws. I'll let you figure this one out on your own.

Fun on the Ohio
Finally got to do some REAL summer activity and get out on a boat on the Ohio last weekend. It was great weather, and not too much traffic although that was most likely due to the choppy water. In the first five minutes after we got the boat in the river we ended assisting in the rescue of 2 young guys who had flipped their boat over. Of course they did not think to bring life jackets, and their dog who came with them had gotten trapped underneath of the capsized craft. I finally got to use my "Water Master" skills I had trained so hard for, and get in the freezing water for quite a while. In the end we got the dog out, and the Fire department showed up in their rescue boats to try to save their boat from being pulled down to the bottom or to the Gulf of Mexico. We went along our way and had a great rest of the day sitting in the sun and some people even got out on the skiis. I'll post some more pictures when I get them from other people's cameras, we didn't get any of the rescue though :-(
I started off the day with my freshly washed car:
And then we washed and waxed the boat:
Finally on the water with the captain of the ship:
Someone gets out ni the frigid water:
I dunno what that look on his face is:
After taking the boat out of the water. I like the truck :-)
And a nice sunset to finish the day off (OK, its the next day, but it makes for a good story...)

Hemlockin and poppin!
Took a trip to Hemlock Cliffs near Marengo, IN yesterday. I've got to say it was a perfect day. Weather was right around 70F, I got to ride the bike to and from there on some of the best roads around this part of the state, and several of my friends as well as I got great news this week. Had nothing else to do the entire day except have fun. Anyways, onto the important part, the pics! Im not going to narrate since I already commented on the Flickr site and you can view the comments there.
And finally a shot with me in it!

On the Road again!
Well, finally got a nice day that I was actually off of work, and had some free time. Went on the first trip of the spring, and here are some photos.
Started out good, perfect weather. Had a friend tag along with his car and finally got some photos of me riding. Here's the gas station:
And here is a shot that turned out way too dark, but I like anyways:
Finally got to some curves:
And got to stretch the bikes legs a bit:
Until I started feeling comfortable again after the months of not riding:
And of course no trip is complete without rain:
And more rain! This was actually the hardest I've seen it rain recently, but gladly it passed and we had clear skies once again!

Season of Paint
Well, got just a bit further on the painting situation and we almost have all of the white(yuck!!!) walls gone. It's been a long and hard job, but well worth it. I just feel more relaxed in the house now.
Here is a before picture, its a bit messy though:
And some after shots:
The color is called "Greecian Helmet"

More memories
Here are a few more pictures I got scanned and cleaned up.
This picture actually won an outdoors related photo contest I beleive.
Dad in colorady many years ago. We still have that Motorcycle jersey and it's almost falling apart now.
Another Pic from Colorado.
And finally one of the coolest dogs we ever had, who actually just showed up at our house as a stray.
